Top 50 bands that most influenciated fashion

The TopManzine made a super cool list - with which we agree almost entirely - with the 50 bands and artists who revolutionised the fashion in the last 5 decades. As the site says, is not so much on the songs or sounds - although some of these bands were also revolutionary in that sense - but, yes, for the style and visual, something that really changed (aesthetically) after the success these bands.
. YEAR 2000
A decade where everything comes down to color and a constant mixture of styles past.
Dizzee Rascal - strands of silver, of diamond earrings, clothes and oversized… Finally, the classic rapper style - and the first that was dressed in a dignified manner as England.
Franz Ferdinand - wore a look super British style, which uniform of a whole generation of students of plastic-arts. They are responsible for that vision.
The Klaxons - need we say more? Kings of nu-rave, fluorescent colors shirt, skinny pants and colorful sneakers.
M.I.A. - nu-rave find the rap / hip-hop
Marc Ronson - super chic, always with cutting suits and trim perfect, in the middle 60’s style updated. The Phil Spector the years 2000.
MGMT - the new new-wave, or better yet, vesta-the-who-like.
Lightspeed Champion - with a hair like Rick James indie, version and large glasses, vintage shirts, jeans and rock bands, female and detonated… Indie to the extreme.
The Strokes - were the first to use the now, beaten look of skinny pants, shirts and ties more uptight . You could say that was one of the most influential bands in terms of fashion, the past 15 years.
Pete Doherty - he can be hooked on drugs super trash, former prisoner and everything else. But there’s no way to deny that the boy influenced many designers around the world in everything.
Amy Winehouse - obivous, right?
. 90’s
The decade where boys had their great moment. Grunge, clubber culture, raves and hip-hop reached proportions never expected.
Jarvis Cocker - nerd meets mainstream strange Style and sophisticated at the same time. weirdly cool.
Notorious BIG - with all the chains, earrings in the best style and elegance… Ah, with the best suits too!
Happy Mondays - cannot count as an important opinion, but the looks of the gang members served as the basis for the Oasis and then to the Arctic Monkeys. It was always the best and most traditional Italian dress style.
Lemonheads / Evan Dando - that was the look of supermodel mixed with the aesthetic grunge .
Kurt Cobain, Nirvana - the personification of grunge!
Oasis - the boys dressed in boys way. In good Italian style, with shirts and comfortable mocassim .
Blur - from indie to the casual American style, they passed through several looks, always drawing much attention to each change.
Daft Punk - the robots are comin! Following the path of Karftwerks they took a step forward to, betting on futurism and the technological age.
The Prodigy - responsible for bringing to the mainstream the dark and almost movie horror rave look.
The Wu-Tang Clan - the ODB to GZA they almost never changed his style…
. 80’s
The decade that clubs and the whole underground culture of the night rose to the mainstream, that the boybands startup, that students began to be fashionables and that the Jamaican style came in the suburbs.
The Smiths / Morrissey - he picked up the recommendations of health and welfare that were on the rise, the cheap suits and overcoats and emotional problems and turned it into something very sexy.
Brothers - cover of bottles in shoes and belts with names engraved, and also led the MA1 Face to the pages of Smash Hits.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - responsables for the fever of vinyl, latex and leather.
Madonna - I will not make any comment, ok? Please…
Guns N ‘Roses - the style was only one of the consequences of what they meant and were. Hard! Half trash, half metal and half also androgen.
The Specials - suits and modern (for time) and dry, always with great hats.
Boy George - super connected to the fashion scene in London, only to say that using the eccentric hats, Philip Treacy says a lot, right? Exotic, gay, accident and clubber.
Grace Jones - was she, along with the clothes of Jean-Paul Goude, who created the icon images of the 80 most . When marked with good geometry, muscles, serious faces… Finally, full power.
Run DMC - from gym clothes, medallions, hats and many jewels.
Duran Duran - the style of Miami in London. got it?
. 70’s
From hippie to punk, the glamour end.
Sex Pistols - was no less than Vivienne Westwood who dressed them. Basically the rise of punk.
David Bowie - rose 70’s glamour of the days of Ziggy Stardust to the restricted (but not less so beautiful) yuppie look, Thin White Duke. One of the artists who most influenced the fashion, without the slightest doubt.
Roxy Music - super cool and exotic at the same time. A certain gentelman glamour that fascinated arts students for the season.
Talking Heads - is wearing as if he were going work in a bookstore, an art rocker thing means.
The Clash - the pioneers of slognas in London. Mixed punk with rockabilly, with rap and with reaggae.
Iggy and the Stooges - metallic pants, and look through dirty fetishist. Ah, well marked and make from time to time.
Marc Bolan - it could be small, but it was as big as the Beatles in their day and more beautiful too.
Kraftwerk - super influenced by the new romantics and a fairly large dose of futurism.
The Ramones - I will only want to say two things: the hair and jeans ultra fair.
Black Sabbath - heavy metal, Gothic with all those images hidden way, crosses, medallions and everything else.
. 60’s
Times of great revolutions. The decade that street style , actually dominated the world.
The Velvet Underground - they were incredible with their dark glasses, songs about bad things. And when Andy Wharhol and Nico joined the most sinister rock band of the 60 , it was even better ..
Elvis Presley - is only remember by his hair cuts and suits.
Jimi Hendrix - the pioneer of visual pasiley rocker.
Buddy Holly - he made the glasses, and made those nerds staying cool.
Johnny Cash - his vision was like his music: simple, sober, somber and powerful.
Little Richard - Prince professor in terms of style… And also the makeup!
The Rolling Stones - in the beginning with all of them wearing modern suits , but at the end of the 60 each chose a unique style. Keith seemed a pirate , Mich. a prince paisley and Charlie just a badass.
The Beatles - No comments. Leaders and not followers, in terms of fashion or music.
Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack - the success of the season with the girls says it all.
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons -the favourit gangsters band, with their suits a, hair and tidy, and white teeth and velvety voice.
